In her current role, Ms. Acosta oversees the science, foreign language, and guidance departments, and assists teachers and professional guidance counselors. She is also in charge of participating in study groups with teachers, attending conferences with teachers, participating in all school activities, including trips, promotions, assemblies and internships, and collaborating with Columbia Presbyterian College and the Bronx Zoo.

Ms. Acosta has nurtured an ever emergent skill set over the course of her nearly two-decade spanning career, and she continues to strive for excellence in her every endeavor. She was a member of the Cahn Solo Program at Columbia University, and she remains abreast of trends and developments in education administration as a member of the Science Supervisors Association. She also supports a number of worthy causes in her spare time, including the American Cancer Society and United Cerebral Palsy.
