Professor Alvyn I. Nacman is a former instructor with the University of Delaware and Widener University. In his previous capacities, Professor Nacman facilitated education in students by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to astronomy. He conducted research and fostered a learning environment in which students were able to interact and look forward to gaining insight and awareness for years to come. Professor Nacman earned a Ph.D. in Astrophysics in Switzerland, and he has remained abreast of trends and developments in the field as a member of the ESO. Drawing from the inspiration of his wife, who is also an educator, Professor Nacman followed in her footsteps and a career path toward success as an enlightening instructor and researcher. Ever passionate about his work and about creating a positive impact on every  area of society that he can, Professor Nacman also drew from the leadership experience he gained in serving in World War II and the Korean War. He also wrote curricula for Maryland Community College.

Professor Alvyn I. Nacman was originally selected for inclusion in Elite American Educators in February 2012.  We are proud to be featuring Dr. Nacman again in Elite American Educators for 2013/2014.
