In her current role as VP of curriculum and instruction, Dr. Orr is responsible for providing strategic planning and implementation in driving college-wide teaching and learning initiatives for the design, development, and implementation of curricula, faculty professional development and management. She also manages system processes and develops online curricula. Dr. Orr was granted an Award for Faculty Member of the Year in 2008 while previously serving as dean of education at Colorado Technical University, where she also served as senior director at the Center for Teaching Excellence.

Dr. Orr formerly served as chair and professor of development and performance at Jones International University for four years, where she developed master’s and doctoral curricula and got a lot of online experience. She started her career in investment banking. She does a great deal of public speaking both internally and externally, at such venues such as The Higher Learning Commission and the American Association of Community Colleges. She attributes her success to her amazing support and mentoring that she has received, and always striving for excellence.
