Following her receipt of a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition in 1963, Ms. Williams began a 42-year career in dietetics. She continued her education at University of Bridgeport, where she earned a master’s degree in counseling. A registered dietitian and dietetic technician, she lent her expertise in dietetics and instruction to the Community College of Philadelphia. She taught nutrition to nursing students and allied health professionals during her time as an adjunct professor at the college.

Now retired, Ms. Williams spends her teaching at her local church and acting as the treasurer for the Great Baptist Church of Germantown.
