Betty J. Geis shines as an educator with a profound expertise in social studies, humanities and counseling that has been refined over the past four decades. After having spent 38 years in education, she has built a strong reputation in the field; she has also taught at the elementary, secondary and college levels. Ms. Geis also has a column in two newspapers. At her current post as an adjunct professor in sociology and philosophy at the Seward County Community College, she teaches introduction to philosophy and sociology, and summer school courses. She also assists students in meeting their academic goals by tutoring those requiring educational support. Ms. Geis has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award and the Outstanding Young Woman of the Year award, and she was honored with the Young Woman of the Year award, as well as the School Board of Okeene Public Schools’ prestigious Service Award. She was also recently named a Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Higher Education for her exceptional efforts in the field.
