For nearly four decades, Ms. Udstrand has maintained a gift for helping people with learning disabilities and providing autism consultation services to those who desire to reach their fullest potential. She currently meets students with learning disabilities, conducts prescreening sessions to diagnose possible disabilities including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism, assists with accommodations ranging from scanners to extra testing time to create adaptive compensation for students, and prepares students for classes. She conducts orientations, helps students who have been suspended due to lack of progress with possible diagnosis, and manages issues of old documentation of diagnosis in order to attain proper funding to update the status of diagnosis. Since entering her field due to a sheer fascination with students who have complex issues and a desire to learn more about disabled children, Ms. Udstrand has garnered a reputation of distinction, and been inducted into Who’s Who Among American Teachers.
