LONG BEACH, CA, December 13, 2011, Charles H. Wilmot, MS, Retired Associate Dean for California State University, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in educational services.
With nearly three decades of professional experience, Mr. Wilmot shines as an academic expert on applied mathematics. Prior to his retirement from CSU, he operated a database and reported on instructions for campuses, and worked on developing a computer program that assigned faculty to their positions in each campus based on enrollment. He also analyzed the use of facilities and space, as well as the faculty workload.
At the helm of the renowned institute of higher education, Mr. Wilmot ensured that students and faculty members were well informed and kept abreast of developments. Mr. Wilmot feels that he has been able to shine in his chosen capacity due to his sharpened analytical thinking skills. He became involved in his profession after his demonstration of quality skills and talent required for him to transition from the aerospace industry into higher education. His knowledge and experience provided for him a calling into the field of education, which he felt honored to answer. He honed a skill set in physics after earning a Master of Science in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1964, and has since been able to whet and refine. With a love for teaching and helping young people to find their own callings, Mr. Wilmot looks forward to enjoying his retirement and coaching his local Little League team in the years to come.
