He also analyzed the use of facilities and space, as well as the faculty workload.
At the helm of the renowned institute of higher education, Mr. Wilmot ensured that students and faculty members were well informed and kept abreast of developments. The CSU is a leader in high-quality, accessible, student-focused higher education. We offer unlimited opportunities to help students achieve their goals. We prepare graduates who go on to make a difference in the workforce. We engage in research and creative activities leading to scientific, technical, artistic and social advances. And we play a vital role in the growth and development of California’s communities and economy.

He became involved in his profession after his demonstration of quality skills and talent required for him to transition from the aerospace industry into higher education. His knowledge and experience provided for him a calling into the field of education, which he felt honored to answer. He honed a skill set in physics after earning a Master of Science in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1964, and has since been able to whet and refine. With a love for teaching and helping young people to find their own callings, Mr. Wilmot looks forward to enjoying his retirement and coaching his local Little League team in the years to come.
