With more than 40 years of professional experience in education, Ms. Munro has displayed an unparalleled devotion to her students. Now a substitute teacher at Orchard Park Central School District, her dynamic personality shines through in her capability to teach kindergarten through 12th-grade classes. In addition, she is able to communicate effectively with parents in order to confront any academic-related issues. Ms. Munro has enjoyed nine years in her current position. She attributes her success to her ability to interact with varied groups of children and adults as a result of her expertise in psychology.
Ms. Munro holds a master’s degree in behavioral studies, with a concentration in psychology and human interaction, and a Bachelor of Science from Buffalo State College. She holds a certification in first- through eighth-grade education and is a certified nursery school teacher. Honored with an award from Cora P. Maloney College, she was featured in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for 2006 through 2007. Professionally affiliated with the Buffalo Retired Teachers’ Association and New York State Retired Teachers’ Association, Ms. Munro is also on the sharing committee of Fourteen Holy Helpers Church and supports the Buffalo Children’s Hospital.
Ms. Munro intends to continue working as a substitute teacher for the foreseeable future.
