Gail F. Hooker is a former special education resource program teacher for Brookhaven Elementary School, a subsidiary of Montgomery County Public Schools. Specializing in the assistance of special education students and the instruction of children with mild to moderate learning disabilities, Ms. Hooker aided the growth and development of young individuals at the elementary school prior to her retirement. Ms. Hooker will be celebrating her 40th year teaching special education students this year. She is former team leader, mentor of the school improvement leadership team. She was honored by the MCC PTA Special Needs Committee and Parent Information and Training Center. In the courtyard of the school a bench was dedicated in her honor. Ms. Hooker feels that her late mother, Marjorie Miller, played a major role in her success because she listened to her thoughts and ideas, and allowed her to choose her path.

Gail F. Hooker was originally selected for inclusion in EliteAMERICAN Educators in October 2012. We are proud to be featuring Ms. Hooker again in EliteAMERICAN Educators for 2013/2014.
