DOVER, NH, July 20, 2012, H. Martin Rumscheidt, Ph.D., DD, Professor of Systematic Theology for the Atlantic School of Theology, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in theological studies.
Dr. Rumscheidt has given inspiration and understanding to his students regarding theological comparisons and the Holocaust for 33 years at the Atlantic School of Theology. His study of the relationship of Judaism and Christianity and his research in the area of the Holocaust abroad have enabled him to continue lecturing and teaching on the subject, though he retired as Professor in 2003. He now continues to develop his studies and writing, as he is finishing a book soon to be published, entitled “Existence and Life of the Church in the German Democratic Republic During Communism.” He is also the author of “Revelation and Theology: Analysis of the Barth-Harnack Correspondence of 1923.”
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Dr. Rumscheidt continuously strives for excellence in his endeavors, by researching and publishing work on German theology, the Holocaust and the inter-church and inter-faith relationships. He conducts seminars on the relationship of Judaism, Christianity and the Holocaust, and teaches history regarding the theology of the church. He is a recipient of the Rockefeller Memorial Fellowship, and a fellowship for a sabbatical in Prague by the American Academy of Religion.
