Ms. Lutz believes that her successful 29-year career in education is a result of the work ethic instilled in her by her parents and grandparents, and the support she received from her mentors, Mike Stegman and Ardith Dunn. At the Satanta Junior-Senior High School of Unified School District 507, she teaches precalculus to 11th-grade students, as well as computer classes, while also continually developing curricula for her courses. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a concentration in mathematics, from the University of Nebraska, Kearney. She continued on with her education at Fort Hays State University, where she earned a master’s degree in mathematics. In addition to her work in secondary education, she instructs algebra and statistics outreach programs for Seward County Community College.
