Jerry E. Straughan is a Retired Professor with an expertise in urban studies. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Straughan taught at Moorpark College, and lectured on topics related to urban studies, history and biology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from California Lutheran University. Mr. Straughan holds democratic meetings and was a delegate at international and state democratic party conventions. He also helps students raise funds for college by giving them stipends. Inspired by a long-standing interest in politics, Mr. Straughan pursued a career as a professor, and has since been in pursuit of endeavors that allow him to quench his thirst for both learning and teaching. He has long been interested in the intricacies of government and political science, and he maintains affiliation with The Democratic Party. In his spare time, he enjoys writing articles, painting pictures, and attending the political gatherings of artists.
