Metuchen, New Jersey, John Kelley, Chief Executive Officer of MicroFone InfoService, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in educational consulting. An expert in educational innovation in the field of communications, Mr. Kelley has demonstrated an all-encompassing understanding and utilization of online educational resources. Twenty-five years ago, he was the first teacher in the Edison Township School District to implement computer training into the classroom. As the technology age blossomed, he continued to learn and hone his skills around creating a digital learning environment to nurture the next generation. Then, Mr.Kelley took the next step in his career by embarking on an entrepreneurial venture to disseminate his industry knowledge to other educators. His educational consulting firm, MicroFone InfoService, focuses on providing technology tools, assistance and guidance to teachers. As the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kelley is dedicated to remaining current with changes in technology in order to keep his clients satisfied. Having grown up in a family of teachers, Mr. Kelley had an intrinsic attraction to the profession. A certified teacher, he earned a Master of Science in Education from Monmouth University in 1973, after having already received a Bachelor of Science in the same discipline, from the same institution. He also holds an Associate of Arts, a certification in supervision and curriculum development, and a FCC registered amateur radio license. Aside from his recognition as a certified school principal and superintendent, Mr. Kelley is considered the head representative of the principal’s union and a member of the Edison Township Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association. An award-winning entrepreneur, Mr. Kelley was honored by the state of New Jersey with grants for using amateur radio stations in the classroom. The initiative was inspired by Mr. Kelley himself, who enabled his students to communicate with students in Europe and South America by using a ham radio in the classroom. He proved that this form of innovative learning improved their language arts skills and provided them with first-hand insight to other cultures. When he is away from his professional duties, Mr. Kelley lends his support to voluntary projects with the Elks Club, the Metuchen Police Department and the American Radio Relay League. Moreover, he enjoys working on computers to keep abreast of technological trends, fishing, flying model rockets, boating and photography. He also relishes spending time and traveling with his wife, Susan, and their five daughters, April, Kerri, Stacey, Michele and Kristin. A believer that with new challenges come new rewards, Mr. Kelley intends to continue following his own advice to, “stick with it,” no matter what task lies ahead.
