Judy S. McLaughlin, M.Ed., B.A.Ed. is the Assistant Manager of KinderCare, a childcare company offering a nurturing and safe environment through its childcare centers and educational programs. Ms. McLaughlin specializes in communication and education, and she assesses children’s developing skills, provides them with the tools they need to learn and grow successfully, and offers them activities modeled to meet the unique needs of each individual child. Ever dedicated to the field of special education, Ms. McLaughlin serves as an advocate in the school system for children. She is passionate about putting children and their needs first, and she has garnered a reputation of distinction among members of her community for her commitment to helping children with special needs.
Inspired by a long-standing interest in child development, Ms. McLaughlin pursued a career path that would enable her to facilitate continued learning and growth in children and develop their potential, as she felt it was her true calling. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Greenville College, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1991, she received a Commanders Coin Award for Excellence in Community Service from the Commander of the Kwajalein Army Base in the Marshall Islands, which was where she lived for more than 11 years. Prior to joining KinderCare, Ms. McLaughlin served as a special education assistant for the Colorado Springs School District 11 for two years.
With nearly three decades of professional experience under her belt, Ms. McLaughlin continues to strive for excellence in her every endeavor as a professional serving the early childhood education industry. She remains abreast of trends and developments as a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and ASCD. She also sponsors two children from Bolivia and Africa through Compassion International, and supports other worthy causes, which include The Humane Society of the United States and the American Cancer Society. In the years to come, Ms. McLaughlin hopes to experience professional growth and become an autism specialist.
