Under the influence of her family members, Ms. Moore entered the teaching profession more than two decades ago. She has remained successful in part by her open-mindedness and dedication to teaching to the needs of her students. A certified special education teacher, she generally teaches secondary special education and homebound students. She also instructs on careers and English for the forum to advance minorities in engineering. Additionally, Ms. Moore monitors discipline and utilizes her expertise in behavior modification techniques to mitigate classroom disruptions. Recognized for her teaching prowess, she received her school’s Teacher of the Year Award. 

Holding a bachelor’s degree in business education, Ms. Moore aspires to continue her education, and obtain a Master of Science and doctorate in education.
