After working in the field of education for 43 years, Ms. Billingham retired her position as a guidance counselor for Sunnybrae Elementary School. With an expertise in problem resolution, she was responsible for meeting students individually and in groups, teaching developmental guidance programs, working with the crisis response team, arranging for after-school transportation, conducting standardized tests, managing school transportation operations, community outreach services and administrative functions, and running divorce support groups for children. Recognized as a board member of the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, Ms. Billingham intends to devote her post-retirement ventures to working with third-grade and special education students.
