With a 37-year career, Ms. Peak is a recognized expert in early childhood education and family support services with Head Start programs. She provides guidance and support to the staff at Omaha Public Schools that interfaces directly with the parents of its students. Over the years, she has found that increased involvement from the father or a male role model results in a higher rate of success for a student. A board member of the Parent Training and Information Center of Nebraska, she intends to continue writing and speaking on family support services after she retires.
