Mount Vernon, NY, March 30, 2011, Marguerita Circello, Foreign Language and Educational Technology Teacher for Mount Vernon City School District, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements and leadership in foreign language instruction.
With 12 years of experience in education, Ms. Circello has developed an expertise in foreign language instruction. Along with teaching students a second language, she instructs an introduction on industrial technology and software, with a crossover in mathematics and sciences, to eighth-grade students. Ms. Circello also participates in motivational speaking engagements. She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her role models, teachers in grade school and mentor, Ms. Murdisia Orr.
Holding a Master of Arts in educational technology from Pace University, Ms. Circello is pursuing a doctoral degree. In addition, she attained a certification in school executive leadership and has completed an advanced certification program from Stony Brook University. She lends her support to local charitable organizations and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event.
In five years, Ms. Circello hopes to complete a Ph.D., start her own school or attain an administrative position.
