With more than 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Gonser specializes in education and creative problem solving. His responsibilities entail mentoring teachers and students to utilize technology in education while addressing system issues as they arise. He also creates miniature tutorial booklets, Web pages, wikis, virtual classrooms and help manuals so the integration of technology in the classroom proceeds smoothly. He became involved in his profession because of his interest in educational technology. Passionate about troubleshooting, Mr. Gonser attributes his success to the constant support he provides to each student.
Mr. Gonser finds great satisfaction in collaborating with peers and applying his knowledge as a media specialist to enhance technology utilization in the field of education. He is very proud to have been honored as Cambridge Who’s Who® Publishing’s 2011 Professional of the Year in Educational Technology and Industry Expert in Educational Technology. In order to achieve success as an educator, Mr. Gonser advises others to remain focused on the task at hand.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in educational technology, Mr. Gonser received a master’s degree in library and information science and a Master of Science in music education. Additionally, he has completed graduate and doctoral-level coursework. He is a board member of the New York Association for Computer and Technology in Education and a member of the American Library Association. Furthermore, he serves as the director of technology at two universities. In the future, Mr. Gonser intends to continue advancing the technology used in education and see new applications used by non-traditional learners.
