KINGSLEY, PA, February 3, 2012, Maureen M. Klees, MS, Health and Physical Education Teacher for Mountain View High School, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health and physical education.

Throughout the past 30 years, Ms. Klees has successfully nurtured a sophisticated and resourceful skill set, which has allowed her to help young people to develop a new understanding and enjoyment of their education and well-being. She teaches an instructional program of health and physical education to students in grades 7 through 11, and helps them to apply hands-on learning experiences by promoting practices for healthy lifestyles with activities and sports. Inspired by a desire to work in a field that would allow her to function both indoors and outdoors, Ms. Klees embarked on her career path more than 28 years ago; she feels she has been able to achieve success due to her willingness and ability to recognize opportunity, and the support she received from her health and physical education teachers.

In addition to the knowledge and experience that Ms. Klees has acquired during her tenure as an instructor, she has also shaped experience during her time as a co-founder of Lock Haven University’s first women’s volleyball club, which developed into a team that was later ranked No. 1 nationally. She has served as a high school health and physical education teacher for nearly three decades, and she hopes to pass on to her students the same encouragement that was instilled in her by one of her own high school teachers to follow her dreams of teaching. She enjoys sharing inspiration and resources with her students, and giving them the motivation that they need to succeed.
