Since the inception of her professional career 31 years ago, Ms. Mach has maintained a focus on impacting children’s lives through education. A persevering and passionate individual, she displays poise while implementing educational programs for severe and profoundly disabled students. She has spent five years working for Montgomery County Public Schools, where she also is held accountable for staff development and evaluation to increase student achievement. By collaborating with the local community, Ms. Mach serves as a resource for providing educational performance, budgeting, and future programming.
A national board certified teacher, Ms. Mach earned a master’s degree in physical education from Adelphi University in 1984, after having already received a Bachelor of Science. She holds an administration certification and an advanced professional teaching certification in physical education for grades Kindergarten through twelfth. With an aspiration of propelling her involvement in school administration and education for severe and profoundly disabled students, she keeps herself informed of industry trends through the Montgomery County Education Association, the Maryland State Teachers Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance, the National Education Association and the Council for Exceptional Children.
