COLUMBIA, SC, May 13, 2013, Peggy D. Harrison, M.Ed., Teacher for Richland County School District One, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in special education.
For more than 35 years, Ms. Harrison has been nurturing an ever-emergent skill set which currently enables her to adeptly teach students with learning disabilities. She instructs and supports first- to fifth-grade students with learning disabilities, teaches them reading and mathematics, and writes educational plans. Ms. Harrison is also in charge of testing and assisting in staff development. She became involved in her profession because she always felt accomplished when helping children.
Ms. Harrison is a Level II Certified Teacher Evaluator, and she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology after attending the University of South Carolina. She continued her education at the renowned institute of higher learning, where she received a Master of Education in Administration, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education, plus 30. Ms. Harrison remains abreast of trends and developments in her field as a member of the National Education Administration, and she attributes her success to her hard work, perseverance and the encouragement she receives from her family and friends.
