Sandra M. Latourelle is a Lecturer at SUNY Plattsburgh who specializes in molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology. She is a recipient of a number of awards, which have included the Fredericka Hollister Professional Educators Award as granted by Delta Kappa Gamma in 2008, the Outstanding Biotechnology Educator Award as granted by the National Association of Biology Teachers in 2007, and the National Biology Teacher Award. Ms. Latourelle feels that the highlight of her career was receiving the New York State Outstanding Biology Educator of the Year Award from the National Association of Biology Teachers in 1995.
