MENA, AR, January 14, 2013, Sherry Owens Baker, Instructor for Rich Mountain Community College, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in office technology instruction.
With more than 36 years of professional experience, Ms. Owens shines as a luminary in her field, as she has long been committed to helping those she teaches by bringing out their true star potential. She specializes in the instruction of office technology classes, and currently teaches between five and seven classes each semester. She also helps the Campus Collegiate Ministry, attends seminars and workshops, teaches office technology classes, business communications, instructional technology, introduction to computer classes, and computerized accounting classes. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Baker takes charge of her proficiencies in office technology instruction by conducting seminars and workshops on office technology.
Ms. Owens attributes her success to being more flexible than other instructors, caring and compassionate, and remembering when she was on the other side of the desk trying to make economics make sense. She was recently named an Outstanding Faculty Member, and she continues to strive for excellence in her every endeavor. Ms. Owens remains abreast of trends and developments in her field by making contributions through philanthropic educational initiatives, and she also supports such worthy causes as Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, as well. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, visiting the lake, traveling, and spending time with her granddaughter.
