Tammy L. Adams, M.Ed. is a Kindergarten Teacher at Hollywood Elementary School. With a strong background in early childhood reading instruction and structural academics, Ms. Adams utilizes her expertise in a capacity that enables the continued academic growth of students. She is responsible for writing curriculum, and teaching kindergartners all major subjects including technology and environmental science, socialization and listening skills. Ms. Adams has been a professional educator for over 13 years. She has dedicated herself to all of the children she teaches each year. She has garnered a reputation of distinction for her peerless efforts; her honors have included the 2001 Science Teacher of the Year Award, as granted by the South Maryland Reading Council. She was also inducted into Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for 2004-2005. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Geneseo, and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Towson University. She remains abreast of trends and developments in reading education as a member of the International Reading Association. She also enjoys reading The Mailbox and Reading Teacher magazine.
