Black Hawk, Colorado, December 28, 2010, Tina Goar, Superintendent of the Gilpin County School District, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Ms. Goar’s expertise in curriculum, instructional leadership and public relations has propelled her career to admirable heights over the last three decades. As superintendent, she is responsible for maintaining a leadership presence throughout the school district in order to coordinate and fulfill the mission of the district with its students and staff. By overseeing budget management and professional development of all curriculum and faculty, she ensures that the students receive the highest quality of education possible.
Accrediting her success to her motivation, drive and good fortune, Ms. Goar’s focal point has always been on the students. Currently pursuing a Ph.D., she already holds a Master of Arts in educational leadership from the California State University in Fresno. Ms. Goar is affiliated with the Rotary Club, the Optimist Club of the Colorado Association of School Executives, the American Association of School Administrators, and the Colorado Rural School Caucus.
When advising those emerging in the field of educational leadership, Ms. Goar implores her successors to maintain their focus on the right things: dedicating their hard work to better the learning experiences of the students.
