South Plainfield, NJ, February 3, 2011, Tracy Glenn Murray, Choral Director for South Plainfield High School, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, leadership and achievements in music education.

Inspired by his high school choir director, Tracy Glenn Murray embarked on his own career in music education in 1985. He has brought music into the lives of countless young people ever since. As choral director for South Plainfield High School, he teaches music classes and conducts voice lessons for ninth- through 11th-grade students. In 2007, Mr. Murray was tasked with directing the school’s spring musical, a production of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” He considers this the highlight of his career to date.

Mr. Murray holds a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Montclair State University and is certified in comprehensive music education for grades K-12. He is affiliated with the New Jersey Music Educators Association. A music lover through-and-through, he enjoys watching Broadway shows and attending the opera and the symphony when he is not teaching music.
