Erie, PA, October 1, 2014, Regan Peter Shabloski, DO, Assistant Dean at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements and leadership in teaching osteopathic medicine.
Dr. Shabloski started his career in academia, but decided to switch to the medical field in order to help others. He was a doctor of osteopathic medicine for more than 15 years, and upon his retirement, he returned to the education field. Dr. Shabloski draws on his past experience and industry knowledge to teach students, oversee the professional development of doctors, operations, and curricula for third- and fourth-year medical students, and train educators. He takes great pride in his work and feels honored to give at-risk students the help and confidence they need to pass the boards.
Dr. Shabloski’s belief in serving others also prompted him to serve in the military. He was a field surgeon in Iraq for two deployments. Dr. Shabloski was stationed in Baghdad and Ramadi with the Pennsylvania National Guard Medical Detachment where he handled everything from sick calls to gunshot wounds. He attributes all the success he has experienced throughout his illustrious career to his diligence. Looking toward the future, Dr. Shabloski intends to continue sharing his knowledge and shaping the future’s medical professionals at the largest clinical school in the United States.
