An artist by trade, Dr. Lyons partook in classes in art and psychology and found her passion for combining them for therapy. She has been in her current role for five years and has been involved in arts therapy for 14 years. Viewed as an expert in her field, Dr. Lyons handles a myriad of responsibilities. In her role, she supports programs for academics, approves programs and seminars, and teaches expressive art therapy.

Dr. Lyons earned a Ph.D. at California Institute for Human Science, a master’s degree at the University of Humanistic Studies, and coursework in art and dance movement, music and psycho drama, and creative writing. She attributes her success to her passion and love for what she does. Looking toward the future, Dr. Lyons plans to increase awareness of expressive art, locally and globally.
