Naimi has garnered a reputation of distinction and prominence as a visionary and transformational leader, and as a devoted and caring professor for her years of service as an educator at Purdue University. She has received awards for Outstanding Leadership from The International Women’s Leadership Association, and one from the Academy for Excellence in Teaching, and she is also a recipient of the Outstanding Professor Award, and the James D. Dwyer Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching.
Dr. Naimi regularly teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the ethical, legal and global challenges of leadership and technology innovation. Her research interests focus on leadership and innovation, with special emphasis on the unintended consequences of technology innovation international collaboration and the development of science and technology policy. Dr. Naimi has also earned five degrees: a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Connecticut’s School of Law, a Doctorate and Master’s degree from Harvard University, a Master’s degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and a Baccalaureate degree from the University of Cincinnati.
In addition to her serving as an educator, Dr. Naimi served as a savvy, tough-minded legal intellect and advocate for those who need a champion. As an attorney with Naimi and Associates for more than 16 years, she managed a trusted law practice, and worked primarily on business law, technology and intellectual property cases. She also advised and represented indigent clients on a pro bono basis. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Leadership Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security, and the American Society for Engineer Educators.
