Ms. Hum has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience over the course of a career which spans more than two decades, and through it all, she has come to attribute her success to being in the right place at the right time and the support she receives from her great mentors. Ms. Hum began working within the banking industry, and maintained her position for six years, working mostly with American Savings and Loan and has been with the district for 15 years. She was also involved in the research last year as well as with the technology training with the use of Microsoft applications including Excel.

Over the course of an illustrious career, Ms. Hum has garnered a reputation of distinction and prominence, earning the District Award twice, the Secretarial Employee of the Year Award from the Washoe Education Support Professionals in 2003, and the Employee of the Month distinction for the Entire School District in 2008. She diligently oversees the administration of two innovative departments including Textbook Adaptation and Standards at the district level, and manages the Excellence Through Supportive Professional Development Training Department and Seven Year Arc Program for all major subjects; she also reviews submissions.
