W. Bernard Orr is a Teacher of Mathematics and Science serving Fort Knox Community Schools. Mr. Orr has garnered a reputation of distinction over the course of a rewarding career, which spans more than three decades, for his exceptional work. He has received the Ashland Oil Golden Apple Award and Mathematics Education Service and Achievement Award from the Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Lauded as a hardworking and forward-thinking educator, Mr. Orr continuously strives for excellence in his every endeavor. He became involved in his profession through his lifelong interest in science and mathematics; he wanted to help students understand these subjects. He is a Board Member of Odyssey of the Mind, Creative Competitions, Inc., and a member of the Kentucky Science Teachers Association. He also belongs to the National Science Teachers Association and ASCD.
