Elliott Riddick, BS, MS lives by the words of his grandfather, a carpenter who said, “No job is too big or small if I could help you.” It was his grandfather and high school teacher that inspired him to become a carpenter and get involved in education. Mr. Riddick dedicated 38 years of service to the education field, serving as a technology educator at Thomas Hunter Middle School before retiring. In his role, Mr. Riddick made sure to inspire young people to accomplish their goals. He taught technology classes and built cabinets and furniture. Mr. Riddick received a plaque for 25 years of service from the Virginia Technology Student Association, and won numerous awards for computer technology services. He attributes his success to the support of his community and the teachers he studied under in high school and college. Looking forward, Mr. Riddick intends to expand his new business, the Riddick General Repair and Maintenance Services Company.
