Evansville, IN, October 22, 2015, Amy McBride, Assistant Professor at the University of Evansville, has been recognized by Elite American Educators for dedication, achievements and leadership in multicultural education.

Driven by her desire to make a difference through education, Dr. McBride entered the field of primary education following her receipt of a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and secondary education from the University of Iowa in 1986. She transitioned into higher education upon the completion of a master’s degree in effective teaching at Drake University, obtaining a position at the University of Evansville. As an assistant professor of education, she has focused on delivering to her students the techniques and methods that will ensure their success as competent educators. Upon finishing a Ph.D. at Indiana State University, Dr. McBride further established her authority in curriculum and instruction through a series of public speaking events and published articles. Apart from her duties within the classroom, she also serves as an academic advisor for the university’s women’s basketball team.

Admired for her ability to identify and leverage students’ interests, Dr. McBride has been honored with several awards in education, including the 2002 Exemplary Teacher Award and the 2004 Outstanding Teacher Award. In addition, she has been inducted as a member to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Dr. McBride looks forward to many more years as an educator, developing new approaches to instruction and multicultural education.

Dr. McBride was originally selected for inclusion in EliteAMERICAN Educators in 2011. We are proud to be featuring Dr. McBride again in EliteAMERICAN Educators for 2015.
